In the Season of Change: How to Let Go & Grow When Your Soul is Screaming to Change

Oct 08, 2025

There’s something about the shift of seasons that always stirs something inside us. 🍂

The crisp air.

The leaves letting go.

The undeniable reminder that change is the only constant.

And if you’re anything like me—you’ve felt that whisper in your body, too. Sometimes it’s not even a whisper. Sometimes it’s a scream. A full-bodied knowing that something has to shift. That the way things are can’t be the way things continue.

For me, that moment came in the most unexpected (and yet divinely timed) way: motherhood.

I thought becoming a mom would be an addition to my identity, another role to balance with my business, my work, and my purpose. But when Bella was placed on my chest, everything I thought I knew dissolved. My soul cracked wide open. The love, the presence, the tenderness… it unraveled me and rebuilt me in ways I could never have planned for.

And that’s the thing about change—it’s rarely something we can plan.

It comes like the seasons. Sometimes gently, sometimes like a storm that tears down everything in its path. But always, always with an invitation: Will you let go? Will you grow?

Why We Resist Change (and Why We Can’t)

As humans, we’re wired to crave safety. Our nervous system loves what’s familiar—even if what’s familiar isn’t what’s aligned. That’s why we stay in jobs that drain us, relationships that no longer serve us, and identities we’ve outgrown.

But here’s the truth: resistance doesn’t stop change. It only makes it harder.

When your soul is screaming for transformation, your body feels it. The burnout. The breakdowns. The restless nights.

Change isn’t the enemy. Change is the medicine.

How to Let Go & Grow

Here’s what I’ve learned (and am still learning) about moving through seasons of change with more grace and less white-knuckling:

  1. Listen to the whispers.

Before your soul screams, it whispers. Pay attention to the subtle nudges, the gut feelings, the quiet inner voice that’s guiding you.

  2. Feel it all.

Change isn’t just exciting—it’s terrifying, too. Allow yourself to feel the grief, the fear, the uncertainty. Feeling your emotions doesn’t mean you’re weak—it means you’re human.

  3. Create rituals of release.

Just like trees release their leaves, we need rituals to let go. Journal. Move. Cry. Burn old stories. Give yourself permission to release what’s no longer serving you.

  4. Find your people.

Healing and growth in community is powerful. Surround yourself with others who see you, hold you, and remind you that you’re not alone in this. (This is the heart of what we do inside TEW retreats and trainings.)

The Invitation

Change isn’t easy—but it is sacred. It asks you to trust, to surrender, to step into the unknown with your whole heart.

And here’s the thing: you don’t have to do it alone.

Inside every TEW retreat and training, we hold space for this kind of deep transformation. We gather in community, we breathe together, we move together, we allow ourselves to unravel… and then we rise again.

That’s exactly what we’ll be doing at the upcoming 50hr Sound Practitioner Training + Retreat in Costa Rica. This isn’t just a certification. It’s not just another retreat. It’s a sacred container designed for you to release, reset, and step fully into the next version of yourself—supported by the jungle, the vibration of sound, and a community that will hold you through it all.

🍃 Registration is closing soon, and there are only a few spots left. If your soul has been whispering (or screaming) for change—this is your invitation.
