What Happens When You Finally Let Yourself Be Held
Aug 06, 2025
36.5 weeks pregnant.
Leading a 50hr Sound Practitioner Training + Retreat in the Costa Rican jungle.
If it sounds slightly insane… it kind of was.
But it was also one of the most expansive, ease-filled, soul-anchored experiences of my entire pregnancy.
Not because I pushed through.
But because I finally allowed myself to be supported.
The Old Me Would’ve Powered Through
For most of my life, I did it all myself.
I prided myself on being the strong one. The capable one. The woman who could juggle ten jobs, host retreats, hold space for others while quietly crumbling inside.
I used to think asking for help meant I was weak.
That I had to carry everything alone.
That support had to be earned, not received.
But over the years—through yoga, sound healing, travel, grief, and a thousand cycles of falling apart and coming back together—I began to see the truth:
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation.
And you don’t have to do this alone.
This Training Was Proof
In June, at 36.5 weeks pregnant, I led a life-changing training alongside the most incredible team I’ve ever had the honor of working with.
They showed up for me in ways that made my nervous system soften in real time:
- Setting up spaces and guiding students with ease
- Holding ceremony and offering guidance
- Even grabbing me a step stool so I could climb into bed at night (because pelvic pain at 3am is no joke 😅)
This week reminded me of something we all forget:
Letting yourself be held isn’t a weakness. It’s a doorway to deeper healing.
The Evolution of The Embodied Warrior
The Embodied Warrior started as my healing story—
But it was never meant to be about me.
I was the experiment. The test subject. The walking transformation.
And the methods that rebuilt me—yoga, sound healing, travel, mentorship—have become the foundation of a movement.
Over the last decade, TEW has evolved from a solo project into a community-driven container for soul-led humans who are ready to:
- Heal
- Lead
- Teach
- Transform others, by first transforming themselves
We’re no longer just teaching techniques.
We’re creating sanctuaries—where people feel safe to unravel, reclaim their truth, and rise in their power, fully supported.
What This Means for You
Whether you’re building a business, holding space for others, raising a family, or just trying to hold it together most days…
I want you to ask yourself:
Where in your life are you still trying to do it all alone?
🌀 Journal Prompts for Receiving Support
- Where in my life am I resisting help—even though I deeply crave it?
- What stories have I been telling myself about asking for support?
- What would shift if I believed that support makes me stronger—not weaker?
- Who in my life has been offering to hold me, but I haven’t let them?
- What does being supported actually look and feel like for me?
💫 Action Steps to Let Yourself Be Held
- Delegate one thing this week that you usually do yourself—even if it’s small.
- Reach out to someone you trust and let them know how you’re really doing.
- Create a list of ways you like to be supported—emotionally, energetically, practically.
- Say yes to an opportunity where you don’t have to be in charge, but instead be witnessed, held, or poured into.
- Join a community where you’re not just a giver—but a receiver, too.
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re leading trainings or quietly navigating your own rebirth behind the scenes, you are not meant to carry it all alone.
The next version of you—the one that feels lighter, more grounded, more empowered—gets built when you stop surviving and start receiving.
That’s what The Embodied Warrior is all about.
And in September, we return to Costa Rica—with Baby Bella on the outside—to do it all again.
Another powerful week of sound, sisterhood, and soul-led embodiment.
And yes, I’ll still be a little unpredictable.
A little unhinged.
But no longer trying to hold it all on my own.
Here’s to letting yourself be held.
You deserve that. Always.
With love,
🤍 Megan
