Why I Infused Sound Healing into My Foundational 200hr YTT Programs
May 28, 2025
Yoga is the foundation. Sound is the alchemy.
When I first created The Embodied Warrior School of Yoga, my vision was simple yet profound: I wanted to lead transformational experiences, not just teach a standard yoga teacher training program.
I wanted students to walk away with more than just a certification. I wanted to offer an awakening—a deep, transformative experience that would stay with them long after they left the training room.
That’s why I knew from the start that sound healing had to be part of the journey.
For me, sound healing has been a game-changer. It’s a practice that has supported my nervous system, helped me release stored emotions, and opened me up to deeper levels of healing, intuition, and inner safety. It’s been an alchemical tool in my own life—one that’s allowed me to move through my challenges with more grace and resilience.
But it’s not just about my personal experience. As I watched my students in our 200hr YTT program, I realized something important: Yoga is the initiation, and sound is the alchemy. The two work hand in hand.
Yoga gives us the physical foundation—the practice of asana, pranayama, meditation, and philosophy. It’s where we lay the groundwork for personal growth and self-awareness. But sound healing takes us deeper. It works on the cellular level, vibrating through us and creating shifts that go beyond what words and poses alone can achieve.
Integrating sound healing into my 200hr YTT program wasn’t just a "nice-to-have." It was essential for creating the kind of experience I wanted for my students.
I wanted them to feel the koshas—the layers of the body, mind, and spirit—not just study them. I wanted them to experience the energetic body, not just learn about it. I wanted them to feel inner stillness, not just talk about it.
Sound healing supports all of this.
It regulates the nervous system, opens the heart, and facilitates deep emotional release. It helps students tap into their intuition and connect with a deeper level of self-awareness. And most importantly, it supports the sustainable integration of everything they’re learning during the training.
This is the kind of transformation that doesn’t just happen on the mat—it happens on a cellular level. It happens when you experience the power of sound to shift your energy, heal your wounds, and open your heart. It happens when you learn to hold space—not just with knowledge, but with the resonance of your own being.
That’s why sound healing is woven into the very fabric of my 200hr YTT programs. It’s not a bonus or afterthought—it’s a fundamental pillar. It’s about becoming a teacher who is not only informed but embodied—a teacher who holds space with both knowledge and resonance.
If you’ve been feeling called to study yoga in a way that is truly embodied, sound-supported, and rooted in ancient wisdom, then you’re in the right place.
Our next 200hr YTT in OCMD is coming this fall, and I couldn’t be more excited to guide you through this transformational journey. It’s an experience like no other, and I would be honored to support you on your path to becoming a confident, aligned, and embodied yoga teacher.
