Why Community Is the Medicine (And Why I’m Taking It Online)

Feb 14, 2026

For years, community has been at the heart of everything I do.

Retreats.

Trainings.

Circles.

Shared meals.

Ocean swims.

Long conversations that start on a yoga mat and somehow end up changing the trajectory of someone’s life.

The Embodied Warrior was never built around content or curriculum alone.

It was built around people.

But motherhood fundamentally changed the way I understand community.

It’s no longer something that feels “nice to have.”

It’s not a luxury.

It’s not an add-on when life feels spacious.

It’s essential.

Motherhood makes it painfully clear how little support exists once the initial excitement fades.

Once the baby is no longer new.

Once the check-ins slow.

Once the nights stay long and the nervous system stays on high alert.

And it’s not just motherhood.

 It’s grief.

It’s burnout.

It’s transition.

It’s rebuilding your life.

It’s holding everything together while quietly wondering how much longer you can do it alone.

Support shouldn’t require travel.

Healing shouldn’t depend on proximity.

Connection shouldn’t disappear the moment life gets busy or overwhelming.

And yet — for so long — that’s how community has existed in the wellness space.

A retreat here.

A training there.

A few powerful days that fill us up… followed by a return to real life where we’re expected to carry it all ourselves again.

Motherhood showed me how unsustainable that model is.

What we actually need is continuity.

Relationship.

Places we can land in the in-between moments — not just the big, beautiful ones.

That realization is why I’m finally bringing community online.

Not as a replacement for in-person work — but as the connective tissue between it all.

I’m opening two new spaces:

a TEW WhatsApp Community Chat — a real-time place for voice notes, support, encouragement, and those moments when you just need to say something out loud and be met

and a TEW Facebook Community Group — a longer-form space to share reflections, ask questions, offer support, and stay connected through the seasons of life we’re actually living

These spaces are for the moments that don’t make it to Instagram.

The moments that feel heavy, confusing, or isolating.

The moments where you don’t need advice — you need witnessing.

Alongside that, we’ll be gathering monthly in live community spaces — not to fix ourselves, optimize our lives, or become someone new — but to regulate together, breathe together, and remember that we don’t have to hold everything alone.

This isn’t about adding more to your plate.

It’s about creating places to land.

And it’s also why the first-ever TEW Reunion Retreat feels so meaningful.

This retreat isn’t just another offering.

It’s a full-circle moment — for me, and for The Embodied Warrior.

This land held me while I rebuilt my life.

And now it’s holding me again in a completely new season.

The retreat isn’t about transformation through effort.

It’s about rest without guilt.

Laughter.

Ocean air.

Nervous systems settling.

Being surrounded by people who actually get it — because they’ve lived it too.

This isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about coming home.

Because community isn’t a luxury.

It’s how we survive.

And it’s how we thrive — together.

If this resonates, consider this your invitation.

The TEW community is expanding beyond single moments into something more consistent and supportive — through monthly gatherings, a TEW WhatsApp Community Chat for real-time connection, and a private TEW Facebook Community to stay in relationship through the seasons that feel heavy or hard to navigate alone.

And for those who are craving in-person connection, the first-ever TEW Reunion Retreat is just around the corner, with a limited number of spaces remaining.

You don’t need to do everything.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just don’t have to do it alone.
